As the Vice President of Media and Marketing, Kathryn is responsible for the integrated marketing and communications programs for HowStuffWorks and Consumer Guide properties, which includes advertising, online and offline marketing, public relations, partnerships and internal communications.

Prior to HowStuffWorks, Kathryn managed the online marketing programs for EarthLink's full product line, including Internet Access, Voice and Value Added Services. There she worked to integrate the branding and acquisition functions within the organization to maximize efficiency.

Before EarthLink, she spent five years at Response Media, helping the company transition from a traditional, direct marketing agency to one of the most reputable interactive and customer acquisition agencies in the digital space. During her tenure with Response Media, Kathryn worked with a client roster that included Procter & Gamble, Georgia-Pacific, Disney, Alaska Board of Tourism, Microsoft and Merkle.

In an earlier role, Kathryn worked for Creative Loafing Newspapers, where she oversaw advertising and community relations functions for two stand alone publications. She also helped manage the relationship with the Nationwide Alternative Weekly Network and positioned Creative Loafing as a pioneer in the hyper-local digital space, bolstering revenue streams by helping to introduce the organization's first online advertising platform.

Kathryn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism/public relations from Georgia State University and a Master of Arts candidacy in strategic communications from the University of Missouri - Columbia. She is a member of the Direct Marketing Association, Online Publishers Association and the Atlanta Interactive Marketing Association.
